Tournaments of sumo are a must-see in Japan and luckily, Samurai Home Shijo Omiya was conveniently located near the venue. We had the incredible opportunity to witness the raw power and grace of sumo wrestlers as they competed in this ancient sport. The atmosphere was electric, and it was an experience that our family will never forget. The comfortable wide beds in the hotel provided us with a good night's sleep, ensuring we were well-rested for this exciting event.

My wife says that it would have been great if the hotel had a small play area or games room for children.

Samurai Home Shijo Omiya is a conveniently located hostel, close to the train station and surrounded by 7/11, a drug store, supermarket, and McDonalds. While there is no cooking allowed in the kitchen, there is a microwave, kettle, and toaster available. The hostel feels safe with 24/7 access and tiny lockers for belongings. I recommend this place for its affordability and convenience.
